A little late update about Vondelstraat 19! From August we are with 7 people sharing the houses 17-19, as 3 new members joined the community. New members who are entrepreneurs aged 30-40 enjoy the house a lot, whilst putting in an effort to adapt the space for them and make it even more cozy.
With the new members and some old ones the Klus Committee was established. They will discuss and plan maintenance for both houses. The first klus will be to change the lead piping at Vondelstraat 19. More over, in the future for Vondelstraat 19 and 17 we will focus on making the houses more sustainable with better insulation and hopefully one day - fix all windows for double glass windows, as for now house is quite poorly isolated so it gets chilly from October :) New roof coverage is also an ambitious plan for the future, as well as installing solar panels (luckily we have 3 people from our community who have professional experience with that).
So, with these new members full of klus enthusiasm we aim to not only enjoy a full and lively living group but also work towards more sustainable housing.
